MY SEASON HAS COME
Text: Eccl 3:1-7

WHAT IS A SEASON?
It is a period of time during which a scheduled event or programme takes place according to divine ordinance. Gen 8:22, Gen 1:11, Ps 102:13. This implies that seasons follow a cycle.

THE LORD GIVES SIGNS OF SEASONS Matt 24:32-34, Mk 13:28-29
1. Tenderness of heart towards the Lord. Ez 37:26-27, Ps 42:1-4
2. Liberty of the spirit through the word of God. Jn 6:63, Jn 16:7-11
3. Growth in the Lord through the word of God. 1 Pet 2:2, Ps 119:105, 97-103
4. A noticeable change in the quality of your communion/fellowship with God

GROWING IN GRACE Part 1
Text: 2 Cor 3:17-18

INTRODUCTION
The word growth can be described as follows: advancing from one level to the other, increasing, developing, getting bigger, move from one level to a higher level, to change position. A simple definition of growth is ‘a process that involves developing from one stage to another higher stage progressively. This means that there is a constant improvement over the last stage. God wants us to grow in our relationship and walk with Him as well as in His grace. I pray in the name of Jesus, we will continue to improve steadily daily.

STEPS TO CONTINUED GROWTH
1. Guard your heart, eyes, ears, mind and soul from all evil suggestions and imaginations. Matt 13:31-33,Pro 1:20-33, Pro 2:22, Num 13:17-33, Num 14: 1-13 – rebellion against God starts from what thoughts you allow to gain ground in your heart.
2. Hunger for God’s presence, word and power. Pro 2;1-5, Matt 5;6, Heb 11:6, Pro 2:6-21
3. Do good instantly, obey God’s leading directly, promptly and completely. Pro 3:27-28, Ja 4:17, Num 14:12, Rom 8:14, Gal 6:6-7 – delay to obey is a delay to be blessed and it could lead to divine dis-inheritance.
4. Flee away from compromising situations that can corrupt or becloud your thinking. Ps 1:1-2, Amos 3:3-7, Pro 21:16, Pro 4:14
5. Keep pressing ahead with your convictions in Christ, don’t look back, if you do you may become a stagnant blessing like Lot’s wife. Phil 3;13-14, Gen 19:26, Jn 6:66-68
6. Keep watching and praying lest you get into temptations. 1 cor 10;12, 2 sam 11:1-2, Lk 21:34-36, Lk 22:40
7. Be consistent in your sowing and reaping and re-sowing from your harvest and reaping, do not stop sowing after your first harvest, this is the only way to increase, go forward and wax exceedingly great in every area of life. Gen 8:22, 1 Cor 9:9-12, 2 Cor 9:6 –
8. keep on spreading and taking new ground, this is what the Lord has called you to do, conquer new areas, make new discoveries, attain to new heights in him daily. Isa 54:1-7, Eccl 11:3-7, 1 king 18:41-46
9. Use every opportunity to give of your self, time resources to god and to the service of His kingdom and fellow men, you must actively redeem the time for the days are very evil indeed. Gal 6:9-10, Pro 22:29, Eph 5:16, 2 Tim 3:1-10
10. Love the Lord with all your heart, body and soul. 2 Cor 8:8-9, Deut 6:4, Jn 21:15-17

CONCLUSION
We are in a love race, only those whose love endure to the end will win, is your love for god failing? Then the clear result will be a slowing or stunted growth in Him. Turn back to your first love today and the Lord will bless and increase you in the mighty name of Jesus Amen.

GROWING IN GRACE Part 2
Text: 2 Cor 3:17-18

INTRODUCTION
In the first part of this study, we defined growth as a process of constantly developing from one stage to another higher stage progressively. We understood that this will lead to a regular consistent improvement over the last stage attained in our lives. Today we want to continue to consider the importance of growing in grace.

DANGERS OF STOPPING
There are a lot of dangers for any believer in Christ that decides to stop growing in grace, it is best to avoid them and work towards continuing in our growth daily. Some dangers are outlined as follows:
1. The flame of those who stop growing in grace will go out and they will stop being a good Christian example to the world and fellow believers. Phil 1:24, Col 4:14, 2 Tim 4:10, Matt 5:14-16
2. Those who stop soon become sidelined and abandoned by God as broken vessels no longer meet for the master’s use. 2 Tim 2:19-22, 2 Kings 2:5-8
3. Demotion in the things of God will be the sad result of backsliders. Ps 75;6, 2 Kings: 9-14, 1 Sam 2:26-36, 1 Sam 3:1-21. If you stop growing in grace, you open the way for a divinely appointed replacement to take over from you.
4. Believers who stop growing in grace soon dry up spiritually and become as a pillar of salt, a sign and a proverb in the kingdom for evil. Gen 19:16-26,30-38

HOW TO KEEP WALKING FORWARD
· Determine to move forward using every resource, grace, power and ability to do so. Ps 46:1-2, Phil 4:13, Jn 10:10, Ex 14:15, 33:14
· Keep walking, pushing, pressing ahead with your plans until the walls break down. Don’t stop. Jos 7:1-12, 8:18-22, Isa 43:19-21 – there is great victory ahead.
· Enter into partnership with God. The only obstacle that can stop you is the obstacle that you allow. Rom 8:31, Ps 68:1-3, Isa 45:1-7, Deut 33:27
· Make it your daily priority to obey God, He is the only un-changing source of power and glory that all other powers and sources will bow to. Col 1;16-17, Deut 28:1-7, 2 Kings 2:8,14, Mal 3:6, Jos 1:5
· Be steadfastly fixed on the Lord at all times do not lose your grip on Him, He will see you through. Ps 57:7, Mk 11:22-23

CONCLUSION
Beloved set your heart on the fact that by God’s grace you will reach your goal and the Almighty God will see you through to the very end in Jesus name Amen. Acts 21:8-14, Num 14:6-10

 INTRODUCTION
A door presents a passage way between where you are coming from and where you plan to go through next. If it is open, it means that all conditions are ready and it is the right time to go through it. In this season, I pray you will continually encounter open doors all around you in every area of your life Amen.

GOD AND OPEN DOORS
There are a couple of things that you need to know in relation to open doors and you;
· God is the author of open doors. Eccl 3:11, Dan 2:20-21, Heb 12:2
· The Lord alone is powerful to open all closed doors. Ps 62:11, Rev 3:8, Jn 10:7-9, Ps 24:7-10
· During the season of open doors, He takes over your struggles and grants you victory where you had earlier suffered defeat or been destined to fail. 2 Chron 20:20-25, Isa 45:1-7
· At the time of open doors, it is a time of remembrance for all your labour of love, prayers and burnt offering sacrifices. Acts 10:4, Ex 3:7, 1 Cor 15:58, Ps 20:1-5

WHAT TO DO IN OPEN DOORS

MY DAY BREAKETH
Text Gen 32:24-28

INTRODUCTION
May I start by thanking God Almighty for sparing our lives to see another Easter season, if He tarries, we will see many more in Jesus name. As you know, Easter is not about Easter eggs unlike what people believe in the world today, it is serious business, the very foundation of the Christian message. 1 Cor 15:1-4, 14-19 This is what distinguishes the Christian faith from all other faiths and religions. We celebrate Easter because He died for us, cancelled all our sins and is risen on our behalf to intercede for us here on earth and prepare a place to come to after our race here on earth is finished. Heb 7:25, Jn 14:1-2 so clearly, it is not about Easter eggs as the world and the shops want us to believe.

JACOB ALONE Gen 32: 24
Jacob as every name in scripture had a unique meaning – it meant supplanter or deceiver.

· God knows us as we are, He will wrestle with us only until the breaking of the day after that He will strive with us no longer. Ps 139:7-9, Gen 6:3, Heb 4:7
· The Lord will wrestle with you all night if need be to bring your joy at the breaking of the dawn and give you rest from your labours and sorrows. Matt 11:28, Heb 11:6, 1 Sam 2:9

OUTCOME OF THE WRESTLING MATCH – Gen 32:28
· You get a new name after God has wrestled with you and won you over. 2 Cor 5:17, Rev 2:17
· There will be a change in designation, destination in life and in the world to come. Gen 32:28, 1 Pet 2:9

APPLICATION TO US TODAY
· Jacob is the unbroken, un-yielded part of me that God is still struggling with me to take away. Hos 10:12, Matt 13: 24-26 – any area of corruption in your life must be surrendered to God.
· The man who wrestled with Jacob all night was the person of Jesus. 1 Tim 2:5, Heb 9:15, Acts 4:12

CONLUSION
Easter is not about Easter eggs, Easter bunnies, eating and drinking but about celebrating the victory God gives to us over the corruption that attempts to disqualify us form eternal rest in his presence in eternity. There is no other way out except through Jesus. Are you still struggling with Him? Your day is breaking, act fast, get saved today.

· Solomon – Started his reign on a foundation of unusual sowing to court the attention and favour of God and he was rewarded. 2 Chron 1:6-13, 1 King 3:4-15
